So nice and depressing, innit? ;P

I'm just putting this up to show you that I am not dead, but I just don't have any good photos to share with you. So I'm giving you this load of emoness instead!

The shot is the first frame in a small stop-motion video I'm doing with ~Elfenstein. We shot about 300 frames on Christmas Eve, between midnight at 4 am, and ended up with a funny little story to tell...

An officechair is part of the video, and so we were walking down the citystreets in the middle of the night, him carrying the camera on a tripod, and I carrying an officechair on my head, when suddenly a policecar sped from across the street in our direction.

It stopped right next to us, and one of the officers rolled down his window. The next lines of text is the conversation we had:

Officer: "So, what are you two up to?"
Me: "We're... ehm... taking... pictures?"
Officer: "Really...? And what about the chair?"
Me: "That's eh... what we're taking pictures of."
Officer: "..."
Me: "Yeah."
Officer: "You're taking pictures of an officechair in the middle of the night on Christmas?"
Me: "Yep."
Officer: "...why?"
Me: "I guess you could call us... a little excentric."
Officer: "...'excentric'? Is that like... another word for 'weird'?"
Me: "Pretty much."
Officer: "..."
Me: "..."
Officer: "...have a good evening."

Afterwards, he rolled up his window and sped away, leaving Martin and I laughing our asses off.

So anyway, I'm probably gonna put this to scraps, since it's waaay too emo for my taste, but yeah - I hope some emokids out there like it ; )

when you said you took this at the lowest quality possible to take up less space couldn't you just put all your pics onto your new laptop and then just delete them from the CF?

It was to save space on the CF-card when out there, Alex ; ) And to save power and time, since the smaller images are easier and faster for the camera to work with :)

Stop motion with every frame at 1 second? Man that must have taken ages.

Well hey, it's actually pretty cool! I mean, it still definitely is insanely emo but you know, That happends to me sometimes too when I get a nice capture---for instance (I haven't uploaded this yet but), I took a picture of the sun shining through the arch of a lock, if you know what I mean. It's a great picture and all but it's like "Wtf this is so emo!...But I guess it's pretty cool though..." lol

We only shot about 300 pics that night, we're gonna need at least thrice that to get a good vid going, since it's playing like 5-10 frames a second ; )

I like the effect.
nice.

I love stop motions, gonna try one someday.

do you find the 350d noisey at iso800?

:sherlock:
Well there definitely is a good bit of noise, but not too much for me. But then again, I don't really have anything to compare to, so I doubt I'm the right one to ask :giggle:
