A photo in colour! Do you believe it?
As a new chapter of non-portraits are about to be added to my gallery, let me start off with something that very nearly was a portrait to begin with. I was walking around Harvard Square, Boston, with some friends, when I noticed an old lady sitting on a small brick wall, her fingers tightly wrapped around the handlebar of a babytrolley. I instantly figured out that it wasn't a baby in there, but when I got closer, I would never have thought what she kept in it instead; wrapped in several old blankets, a kitten and a puppy were barely peeking their heads out into the cold March air. In front of them, a little sign above an empty, white bucket read "Please help, we need food". I asked the homeless lady, who was clenching the handlebar, if she would mind if I took her portrait for a project I had just started, and after politely turning me down, she looked at the odd couple in the trolley and asked me why I didn't take a picture of them instead. As I got on my knees, the puppy poked its wet nose into my lense, and I got a couple of funny close-ups, before I heard the lady yell the name of someone she apparently knew, who was approaching from behind me - and as the puppy directed its attention to the responding voice, I pushed the button. - - - - - Print: [link] |

I really like the depth of field of this shot, as well as how sharp it is. The color of that dogs eyes is absolutely GORGEOUS... I can even see you in its eyes. [Well, eye at least.] It's some what hard taking portraits of animals. You have to catch them off guard or by chance to get a good one. I really like this one.

I live in Denmark, but I travelled the States from March 10th to June 10th - and now I'm here again for another month, before I go back to Denmark.
And yes, Photoshop CS2 is my lover
