Standing in the middle of A'dam Square in Amsterdam, I had been waiting for half an hour for =gONZOm to show up, as he had told me he would just a couple of hours later.

I had set up camp in the middle of the square, found a dry spot on the wet ground to place my backpack, trying not to get blown away by the cold winds, deciding to give =gONZOm a chance to show up, since I had turned up an hour late to another meeting myself, and thought it would only be fair.

Half-sitting on my backpack, trying to keep warm, I suddenly saw something big, white and fluffy move across the square. As it got closer, I realized it was attached to a man - a man that I needed to take a photo of. He wasn't heading my way, so after a quick risk-examination, I decided to leave all my belongings in the middle of the square to chase after the man.

He was in a hurry, but fortunately he had just enough time to let me shoot three frames - this, the last one, being the only one in focus.

I thanked him, hurried back to my backpack, and did a small jump - partly because I knew I had gotten a good shot, and, of course, because I hadn't lost all my belongings on my first day of travelling.

Fifteen minutes later, =gONZOm showed up - and I thanked him for being late.

Here I am, broke, sick, everything wrong, wouldn't be surprised if the fish I don't own suddenly died...Wondering, when is life gonna give me a fair shake and just hit me with a car? -Lenden

Your photos always reveal so much character it is astounding. The man has a sense of whimsy about him which you captured perfectly.

Oh my lord, Lasse. I think this one might be my favorite out of all of them. He looks so unreal, and I just want to give him a hug. I adore his glasses, and I love how you play around with the eyes. They radiate such life. :aww:

Out of all your European portraits to date, this is my definitive favourite. For me there seems to be more emotion in this one than any of the others... he is so very engaging to look at and study, and the hair is a just wonderful :+fav:
