Artist's Comments

"Oh my, that sure is a big weiner..."

This photo means a bit to me... Not only because I think it's hilarious, or because of the amount of timing - and lots of luck - it took to get it, but because it symbolizes a transition to me; the transition to street photography. From now on, most of the work you will see from me (if not all) will be black and white street photos. I think I can finally say I found my little 'niche' - thanks to ~flumpie and =crazy1ady, who I just visited in Bergen, Norway last week. It was an awesome experience, that re-ignited my passion for photography... more specifically, streetphotography :)

So yeah, I'm sorry to say you won't see many more apocalyptic sceneries, oversaturated landscapes or the likes - but I'm looking forward to showing you funny, exciting, romantic, tragic and most of all true slices of life and the people who live it :)

- Lasse

Out of curiosity, what do you mean by "not looking natural anymore"? :) And hey, glad you like it :lmao:

because of the manipulations you did to it. like curves, local contrast (per usm) i guess. he almost looks painted now.
not my cup of tea, in terms of streetphotography...

Well of course you make an odd expression, when facing a huge... weiner! I bet it happened to you too at some point :eyes:

I didn't do that many curves, really... And they all applied to the whole image! I dodged him slightly, and changed the channelmixer monochrome conversion a bit to make him slightly lighter and the wall slightly darker, to make him stand out more (since before, he and the wall had the same tones, so he kinda blended in).
