American Portraits: No. 11 by Nullermanden American Portraits: No. 11 by Nullermanden

'Sophia'

Walking around a big park in downtown Boston with ~Mr-Snow, scouting out interesting people, we came across this woman, sitting on a bench, enjoying the warm afternoon sun. We had a little talk with her, and with a noticable eastern european accent, she told me her name was Sophia.

What an amazing face...the stories usually sell these portraits to me, but she's such a one-off..the lines across her forhead are incredible, aha. I wonder what kind of a life she's led..

Why is it that there are rather few females in your european and american portraits collection?

Awesome shot!

Would love to see what you consider as "not working out for you. And yes, I can understand the point - your contrasty photographs live from deep and hard wrinkles, edges and corners in the face.

Well men just generally have a more hardened and detailed face... And three of the female portraits I did in this series, didn't work out in the postprocessing, so that kinda sucked :hmm:

I've had a few people draw some of these - mostly #1 and #15, for some reason. I would love to see what you could do with them though : )

Feel free to draw as many as you want :) And please show me what you come up with : D

Haha, I try my best - thank you : )

I used a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 for the portraits, and I've been using a Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 for the most recent stuff : )

Thank you very much

Probs!

yees. Lasse, that's a good name :)
